Choosing the right DJ
service is essential, you want to select one that shares
your vision of the perfect event and can make it happen. Creating the
atmosphere for a reception you as well as your guests
will not soon forget! Here we have put together
some key questions to ask of your prospective DJ.
1. Are you Licensed
and Insured? Or better yet ... How many weddings
have you done?
2. Will we be able to meet the actual person that
will be working our event?
3. What will you and your staff wear to the
wedding?
4. What professional equipment do you use and will
you have back up equipment at the event?
5. Do you offer unlimited pre-wedding
consultations?
6. Can you provide lists of popular wedding music
for us to make selections from?
7. How do you handle special requests
on the day of the wedding?
8. What other related services can you offer?
(Emcee, skits, vocalists, musicians, etc)
9. Do you offer light shows or other special
effects enhancement packages?
10. What deposits are required and will there be a
written contract to ensure service on the date of our
event?
11. How early will you be setting up and how long
do you need to break-down?
12. Are there any additional charges for travel
and/or set up time?
Look for someone that offers more that just music.
A good DJ should be able to act as the coordinator at
the reception, take control and keep the party going.
Asking these questions and getting a feel of the
personality of the DJ's you visit should help you find
the one that is right for you and your event.
